The above said APBT/AST is sold as a PET___SHOW____ prospect for the total price of $__________. A deposit of $_________(minimum of $300) is hereby made and the cash balance is due to seller/breeder before this dog is placed in the buyer’s possession. Registration papers will be held until balance is paid in full. The buyer understands that once a deposit is made, it is a commitment to buy said dog and is therefore NON-REFUNDABLE unless otherwise specified by the seller. Ear cropping is optional to the buyer and can be performed by the breeder's veterinarian for an additional $300.

If this dog has been classified as a PET by seller/breeder, it does not qualify as a show prospect/ show quality dog at this time of sale, meaning this puppy has a conformational defect that would disqualify it from the show ring therefor breeding this puppy would not be in the best interest of the breed OR this puppy was purchased as a companion and will not be shown. Therefore, the dog will be neutered/ spayed before the time it is ___________of age. After the dog has been altered, you MUST show proof to the seller.

Note regarding PET QUALITY PUPPIES: Just because your puppy may not meet the expectations of the conformation ring does not mean the puppy has a major fault or defect. It simply means it has a very small, often unnoticable conformational flaw or simply because you wanted a family member, not a show dog. This puppy will still make a beautiful, healthy pet.

 

If said dog has been classified as a show prospect/show quality dog, there is no guarantee the dog will become a champion of record, but with proper care and training on the part of the buyer and/or handler, this dog should be a reasonable contender and do well in the show ring.

If a show quality female puppy is purchased and the buyer agrees to show her, she cannot be bred before the age of 2 years and more than 4 times in her lifetime and only to other UKC and/or AKC registered APBTs/ASTs. She must have at least the minimal health testing prior to any breeding. This includes passing either OFA Hip testing or Pennhip, and OFA Cardio clear by a veterinarian. Other health testing is strongly encouraged.

 

If a show quality male puppy is purchased and the buyer agrees to show him, he must only be bred to other UKC and/or AKC registered APBTs/ASTs. Seller has breeding rights to any male produced by Eternity Kennel.

Seller/breeder guarantees this is a purebred American Pit Bull Terrier and/or American Staffordshire Terrier, offspring of the previously mentioned sire and dam.

 

BUYER certifies that he/she is not acting as an agent for another individual in the purchase of this dog, and will not sell this dog to any mass-producing kennel (puppy mill) or business.

The purchaser promises to keep the dog in a proper manner. It shall not be permanently in a kennel. If problems arise concerning keeping or training, or if the dog becomes seriously ill, the buyer agrees to consult the breeder. If it should prove necessary for the dog to change hands, the breeder has first right to seize the dog under these conditions without further questions, whether it be through purchase or seizure without reimbursement. This puppy has been bred by us and has been carefully and painstakingly reared. The parent animals were mated with the aim of breeding good quality and healthy puppies. Seller quarantines this dog to be free of communicable diseases as appears to the eye at time of sale. The parent animals are free of genetic diseases that may be passed on to other generations to the best of the breeders and breeders' veterinarian's knowledge. The parent dogs have been fully examined with proper testing done before the time of breeding to ensure optimum health of the puppies. These genetic diseases include, but are not limited to, hip dysplasia, demodectic mange, luxated patellas, heart defects, etc.

 

NOTE ON HIP DYSPLASIA: Despite breeders' best efforts to breed out hip dysplasia by either OFA hip or Pennhip testing breeding stock, there is still a possibility of hip dysplasia in a puppy that came from two parents with good hips. This is because there are multiple genes responsible for this disease and is almost impossible to breed out completely. That being said, we do our best to prevent this disease by testing the parents and hope for puppies with good hips, however there is no guarantee with any puppy that they will be completely free of this disease. 

At the expense of the buyer, this dog should be examined by a veterinarian within 48 hours of possession to validate Health Guarantee (If purchased on Saturday, this requirement is extended to the following Monday) Should this dog be found in ill health, the cause of which is clearly attribute to the breeder, this dog may, (unless other arrangements were discussed between buyer/seller as mentioned above) be returned to seller for refund of purchase price or for another dog of equal value, the choice to be determined by seller.

This dog has been micro chipped and breeder has been listed as secondary contact in case dog is lost or stolen. If dog is found in bad condition, either physically or environmentally, the breeder is to be contacted and dog will be seized by breeder if it is due to improper care of buyer.

In case the puppy is being sold as a pet, the buyer must provide proof of spay/neuter. Where then seller will turn over full registration/limited registration to the new owner.
